1969 1969 "Project SWORD" Annual Ref: COLANDER006
The one and only 96-page hardback from the "TV21" action adventure strip. It wasn't derived from a TV series so what was it all about ? I asked Keith Shackleton, Gerry Anderson's merchandising man, many years ago and he told me that it was devised around a range of toys they had got the rights to when they bought out the company that made the "Thunderbirds" toys. Was it ever going to be a TV series ? Keith tried to persuade Gerry to make it into one but Gerry wasn't keen ! The annual features the usual mix of comic strips, text stories, hardware specifications etc. For some reason photographs from "2001: A Space Odyssey" feature prominently and look out for the character biographies - the photographs that accompany them are actually of people who worked in the Century 21/City Magazines offices ! This example is complete with very clean internal pages and in overall good condition. The spine is intact but with a very small splpit round the back at the bottom. The bottom corner of the front cover is also worn.
Price: £14.99

1973 Countdown Annual 1973 Countdown Annual Ref: COLANDER019
Polystyle 80-Page hardback prominently featuring "UFO" in both colour comic strips and features, such as a Moonbase Interceptor cutaway and photographic game ! Also includes "Thunderbirds","Captain Scarlet", "The Persuaders" and "Doctor Who". The covers on this book were never laminated when manufactured so often they are now scuffed and this copy suffers, with some small 'bald' patches to the front as well as minor 'dimping' and splitting to the top of the spine. The pages inside are very clean, crossword not even attempted !
Price: £14.95

1972 Countdown Annual 1972 Countdown Annual Ref: COLANDER011
Polystyle 80-Page hardback prominently featuring "UFO" in both colour comic strips and photographic feature articles. Also includes "Thunderbirds","Captain Scarlet", "The Secret Service", "Joe 90" and "Doctor Who". The overall condition of this copy is very good with just minor brown 'foxing' spots to some interior pages and the spine (whilst intact and tight) is a little discoloured
Price: £14.95

Space City Sticker Space City Sticker Ref: COLANDER005
During the late 1970s Gerry Anderson mounted an exhibition in Blackpool, U.K., displaying many items from his various TV and movie productions. It was called "Space City". In 1981 this was transferred from the Golden Mile Centre to The Pleasure Beach and renamed "The World of Gerry Anderson". This item is a souvenir from the original event. It is a window sticker which only works when stuck to glass and viewed from the other side - some of the lettering is reminiscent of "Space: 1999".
